KIDS AND FASHION BY YOLANDA DOMÍNGUEZ

August 25, 2015

Madrid-based visual artist and activist, Yolanda Domínguez, asked a group of children aged 8 to describe what they see in several carefully produced fashion editorials.

The children viewed the fashion ads for the first time and made comments such as, "the women look like they are drunk and sick" and the men look like heroes and businessmen."

Their honest reaction puts the aesthetic ideals of the fashion industry and the messages it sends into perspective. Visit Kids vs Fashion, for the complete video and project details.
