What do Donna Karan-LVMH, Proctor & Gamble, Dupont, Philips and Saks Fifth Avenue have in common? Surfer, linguist and tri-athlete Natalia Allen. She is a luxury fashion designer, awarded Parsons Designer of the Year, a title she shares with Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler. Natalia has also received Calvin Klein, Nylon Magazine and Ducati design distinctions. She has exhibited and lectured at international conferences, including E-Culture Fair Amsterdam, Invista-Dupont Global Summit and Wearable Futures. BBC, Reuter's, Women's Wear Daily and New York Magazine, were among the first to cover her unique story. By age 24, she was the inventor on several patents. Considered an expert on the intersection of design and technology, her work is both a creative and commercial success. "Creative critical thinking is our strength," says Natalia. In 2005, she founded Design Futurist, a boutique consultancy, with offices in New York and London. Design Futurist partners with multi-nationals to develop innovative products and brands of value.
